SHOES, SHOES, SHOES!

Partnerships between Minds Wide Open art center and area businesses and non-profits are very important to us.  'SHOES, SHOES, SHOES!' was a collaborative project between The Salvation Army's summer youth program and MWO art center.  This program was called "Art Horizons"  We entered into a 6 week partnership with Isle Of You Boutique.  We examined the history of shoes and shoe making. We worked with Isle Of You co-owner Meredith Sheffler to design and make our own shoes, which were displayed at the boutique at the end of the project. More than 50 teens and adults participated.
